BUG: Types breaks filenames with utf8 characters

  • Hello, I want to report a bug.

    When I upload an image named “Mi fotografía ? 2014.jpg”, somehow the plugin Types changes the filename to “Mi-fotograf–a—-2014.jpg”.

    When I deactivate the plugin and then upload again, the filename is correct: “Mi-fotografía-?-2014.jpg”.

    Somehow, the plugin mess with the name and convert any non-english character to double hyphens.

    I’ve tested with a fresh installation of WordPress 4.0 and Types 1.6.2

    This is very important since it changes the URL of the images and affects directly SEO practices.
