Tested on two separate sites on two separate servers. Users logging in causes their subscriber status to change to Non-Subscribed. I was confused as to why I was getting a bunch of Non-Subscribed users, and then I realized my admin accounts kept getting added to the Non-Subscribed list. Every time I log in, my admin email addresses would get added back to the Non-Subscribed list. This happens to all users when they log into an existing account.

Please upgrade to the newest version of the plugin, which has been released today: 2.1.3.
When a customer creates an account, a checkbox appears which asks if they want to receive promotional newsletters from you.
If the subscriber does not agree to receive those types of newsletters, their Email status is set to non-subscribed.
If they do agree to receive them – their Email status gets set to active. Regardless of that, their transactional email status always gets set to Active, which allows you to send them updates associated with their purchase and other activity within the platform.

Thank you for the update. However, what you wrote does not address the bug, nor does the most recent version fix it. When users with existing accounts log in that are already listed in my sender.net subscriber list, they are changed from subscribed to non-subscribed. This happens every time a user logs in and includes my admin accounts, which is how I noticed that users logging in what causing it. When I log into my own sites my admin accounts get changed every single time, and I definitely am not doing anything other than logging into the site’s backend to cause the non-subscribed change to trigger.

    Hi @peterdowney01,

We have made a correction. The already created subscribers won’t have any changes on their status, no non-subscribed status. While new created users and so subscribers would be related with the option [subscribe to our newsletter] in order to not obtain non-subscribed status for Email, only transactional email would get the active when not selected.
