Bug when using EDD Recurring Payments and EDD Auto Register plugin

  • Hi, I found a bug using WP Cerber in conjunction with Easy Digital Downloads, EDD Auto Register plugin and EDD Recurring Payments plugin.

    When the option “Protect registration form with bot detection engine” in Cerber antispam engine section is turned on, the users are getting an error during purchase:

    You must be logged in to purchase a subscription

    I hope this helps someone as I’ve been struggling to resolve this for a week.

    Do you mean a bug in EDD? That’s possible ??

    It’s seems EDD creates a new user account by sending a POST request to the default registration form like bots usually do. You can see such requests on the Activity tab. They are identified as “Attempt to register denied” or “Spam form submission denied”.

    @gioni That is incorrect. Where do you see us sending POST data to the standard registration form? We use our own POST processing everywhere. If there’s a place that’s not the case, I definitely want to get that updated but I’m not aware of any.

    @mordauk You just need to tell EDD clientele how to whitelist that POST request URL that EDD plugins utilize for creating new accounts on a website.

    Can you tell me the steps to disable the “Protect registration form with bot detection engine” setting because I am not able to find “Cerber antispam engine section” in easy digital download subscription plugin.

    It’s in the Cerber settings, not EDD

    But I am using EDD, so how I can tackle this.
