    Hi there,

There’s an issue being caused by the Hummingbird Caching plugin our website. I’ve taken a look on Google and it seems like it’s been reported various times but they’re quite old forum threads so I just wondered if you’d be able to help me out with this problem.

We have an Instagram feed on our website which appears in the footer.php file for each page. This is the plugin we use for the Instagram feed – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/instagram-feed/

The problem is, Hummingbird is caching this somehow, and any new Instagram posts aren’t showing on the website until we do a hard refresh and clear the Hummingbird cache. The point of the feed is so that up-to-date posts are shown automatically.

I see you have the option within the plugin to not cache specific pages and exclude them, however this doesn’t work for us because the feeds are on every page in the footer. Otherwise, there’s no point in using the plugin at all.

Is there a way to either to exclude this plugin from being caches or perhaps a way to clear the cache automatically on an interval?

    Much appreciated, thanks!

    Hi @manjilghale,

Hope this message finds you well.

After checking your site, the plugin assets are not being optimized by our Asset Optimization feature, so this seems to be related to Hummingbird >> Caching >> Page Caching.

Since the plugin is on your footer, you can try setting an interval to clearing caches (in hours) at Hummingbird Pro >> Caching >> Page Caching >> Cache interval You will find your information about this feature on our docs at this link: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/hummingbird/#cache-interval

Let us know if you require additional information.

    Best regards,
    Laura
