• I’m using the presentation page and the browser header correctly shows:

My Site Title | My Tagline

(the page source code correctly shows <title> My Site Title | My Tagline <\title>)

But I do not want to use the tagline, and I just want to use the Site Title. In this case on the post pages it correctly shows “My Post Name – My Site Tile” but the presentation page title turns into “- My Site Title”

    post example: https://stefanofasciani.com/?p=27
    presentation page: https://stefanofasciani.com

I think there’s something wrong with <?php cryout_meta_hook(); ?> that should be the code that generated the <title> field, but I’m pretty ignorant about it.

any workaround to remove the dash before the Site Title without having to use a Tagline?

    Cheers

  • The theme always displays both the title and the tagline (not just one of them).
If one is empty, you’ll always get the dash and the one you filled in visible.

This behaviour can only be changed by editing the theme files.
