• Hi All.

I am trying to edit posts that have a left justified image and I can’t seem to get the text to behave.

Oftentimes I am clicked to the right of the image (text shows on the right when the image is justified to the left) and when I type in text it seems to “jump” to the top of the image.

If I hit Return while in front of the text, this text sometimes jumps back to the right of the image but leaves a gapspace at the top of the image.

Sometimes I cut and try and paste the text to the right of the image and it jumps back to the top.

Sometimes I try and click to the right or the left of the image and Delete to get rid of the space at the top and it oftentimes deletes the image.

The only way I have been able to solve this is to delete everything, type in the text – and then reload the image while clicked in front of the text.

Anyone have similar problems and/or a good solution/advice on this?

    Thanks.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    Hi Esmi.

    thank you so much.

the only plug-in i have is the regen thumbnails plug in.

i have been trying to work around this by using the html tab instead of the image tab in the Edit Post section. However this also seems really buggy.

when you are to the right of the image or at the top of the image, there appears to be no way to keep the text (which should be on the right hand side) from moving to the top of the image. in fact, even if you have text on the right of the image, and you then add text that causes the text to “return” and go onto another row of text, the original row of text is getting “smushed” up to the top of the image, while the newer text row stays on the right where it is all supposed to have stayed.

anyway, i will keep trying it but if there are any solutions i am interested in hearing them.

    thanks again!
