Buggy title indicartor (v7.5.3 )

    The SEO title indicator seems buggy in the latest version 7.5.3. the problem is when the title turns green and I update the post, it just turns orange. when I simply click on the title bar it turns green again and when I update it, it resolves the issue !!! so I need to update my post twice and it’s really frustrating.

    Before updating to the latest version everything was working fine !

    Can you please confirm whether the issue occurs with all posts or only with the posts that has more than 1000 words or more?

    Yea all posts have the same issue and all of them are lower than 300 words. and beside I just made a mistake when I said the issue gets resolved when I update the post. it still persists with or without updating.

    Like I said it used to work fine before the last update and I never had such an issue.

    It’s pretty weird btw. am I the only one experiencing this problem ?!!

    Btw I can give the older version a try to make sure whether or not it’s the new version. how may I have access to the older version ?

    Please update first to Yoast SEO 7.6 and check if the issue persists. Alternatively, you can also download older versions of Yoast SEO here (all the way down on the bottom of the page, where it says Previous versions).

    Hi,

    The new release resolved the title and also meta description bug. a long time ago when I started using Yoast I was allowed to type 156 characters in meta description box but after many updates, somewhere in a period of time I realized that I could type more than 156 characters and I thought that things might have changed with Google procedures and all.

    Now I got orange bar for all those posts having a meta description beyond 156 characters which is totally natural :/

    Now I’m so confused. does it have to be 156 characters or what ?!! it took me a long time to write those descriptions. should I edit all of those 1000 posts one by one and make them shorter ?!!! this is insane !!!

    I noticed in your changelog that you deliberately changed the maximum meta description length from 320 to 156 characters. I thought it was a bug !

    May I know why ? wasn’t it better to stick to 156 characters from the beginning while google won’t even display any characters beyond that ? I have no idea why you would wanna insist on any number beyond 156 !!
