    12.6.11 problems:
    1. Visitors online not working. Showing all visits, not the ones currently online
    2. Page stats not working. New posts added since upgrade read zero visits. Posts pre-upgrade: stats have not budged
    3. Exclusions not being excluded: excluded bots, admin ip showing up despite being excluded

  • I am also having this issue, and it is very bad timing with our massive black friday sale. Can this be looked at please? I need to know where my customers are coming from, and monitor any possible problems that may arise.

    Hi @dianny
do you use cache plugin ?

    I’m seeing the same.

I use caching plugin and have the caching options set up for wp-statistics but still doing the same.

    Yes to cache plug-in.
Yes I have the box checked in Statistics.

I’ve reverted to 12.6.10 (via https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-statistics/advanced/ – scroll to bottom to ‘Previous Versions’) and that’s working correctly.

Same problem here. Is there any other solution besides reverting?

“. Page stats not working. New posts added since upgrade read zero visits. Posts pre-upgrade: stats have not budged”

has this been solved by version 12.6.12? Thanks.

I am going to revert back as well. Clearly something isn’t working right.

That didnt help either!!! Ugh getting so frustrated with this! Especially since i PAID for the Real Time Stats which is not at ALL worth it. It doesnt even work! This needs fixed. I haven’t added anything at ALL to make this not work except updating your add on.

Updated wp-statistics to 12.6.12 yesterday. That didn’t fix the issue.

@islandescapefo you may want to try Matomo if you want to stay away from Google Analytics.

Not sure if this is a route cause or helps track the problem, but I had two sites (test environment and live environment) and was seeing hits from admin being included on one but not the other. I have painstakingly gone through every plugin and setting to check for differences.

I just found that on one site (the one tracking admin incorrectly) “Track All Pages” setting was enabled in WP Statistics). On the site that continues to correctly ignore admin hits, this was disabled. On enabling it, admin hits started tracking, and re-disabling it, admin hits stopped.

    Update

This didn’t fully resolve. The above stopped hits getting tracked on the individual posts/pages tabs in Statistics and hits columns in the posts/pages admin lists but the totals show in the dashboard for overall site traffic are still including admin hits with that setting enabled/disabled.

So can I assume there is no other way than replacing WP Statistics if I still want to use a cache plugin?

Are you sure that it is because of the cache plugin? I deactivated the cache plugin and it the hit statistic still doesnt count…

Same for me with the 12.6.12 version : IP exclusion is not working.
