    Hi.

There must be some bugs or usability problems in this forum. I inserted a message in the support section of a plugin (W3 Total cache).
Firstly, my post isn’t showed in that support section but elsewhere.
Secondly, I cannot edit that post (I cannot ever correct a typo) because it is automatically closed after posting.
Thirdly, even if the post is closed, the reply textarea is shown (should not), and isn’t stated anywhere that the post was closed (so the user may type for 20 minutes and then discover only when he/she hit Submit button that the whole post is lost because the thread was closed).

I reported these things in the past and you told me it was my fault, but I has serious problems in understanding the behavior of this site.

There is absolutely not a bug in the forums. Your posts are marked in the spam queue and that requires a moderator (such as myself) to release them (which I’ve just done).

I’ve also deleted your duplicate topics and removed your signature. Duplicates make it harder to provide you with support and signatures are not allowed here. Please do not add a signature to your posts anymore.

You should put an error message explaining that what is happening is normal. The forum should at least tell you that the post is marked as spam, because now, when I click “edit” I got redirected to the home page, without any explanation.

Also, every time I post something, posts are marked as spam (even without signature).. It isn’t this filter too conervative?

Also duplicates are a consequence of the fact I didn’t understand why to edit.

If you were a spammer (you are not a spammer, I am not saying you are a spammer, do not get upset) then that notification wouldn’t really be useful now would it? I mean why inform spammers that their automated posts are caught? ??

You just need to be patient that’s all. It’s an automated system that learns and hopefully it will pick up that your posts are not spam.

We know it sucks when this is happening to you and you don’t know why. You could easily think that someone is deleting your posts maliciously, or there is a bug in the forum, we understand that. We’ve all gone through it.

Now that Jan’s explained what’s going on hopefully you’ll feel better about it.
