Building a full width site

I’m trying to build a full-width site, using the Twenty Twenty-Two theme, but it’s not easy. I’m made progress with help and CSS code from some of the experts in this forum (thank you!), but it’s still a tough battle.

Technically, this site is a blog —?some posts, a few static pages, integration with a CRM. No ecommerce or anything else. Naturally, I’d like it to be fast and responsive.

Is there a better way to build a full-width site? Should I use a different theme? Should I use a page builder plugin?

I’d very much appreciate the advice.
