Building website without using templates – any program for that?

Hello,

Im new to WordPress, but i have a goal of building a danish website using the platform/layout of Mises.org

I have been looking around the templates, and they feel very resticted in terms of putting different background colors, moving text, insterting links and so on.

What i’m looking for is a program/plugin/widget? that allows me to do anything i want in terms of boxes, background, colors and so on, similiar to one.com web editor if anyone used that.
What i need is total freedom but not using actual code (I have no idea how to do that at all).

I hope someone can help me in the right direction of such a program.
