Built blog offline,now I want to install it online

  • Hello,

    Last weeks, after installing wordpress on my computer, I customized my entire blog.

    Bow I want to put all online but can I simple upload all files with ftp to the rootdirectory of my provider?

    Or do I have to upload all files and install it again?!

    If I have to install it again, do I also have to make a new msql-database?

    Hope anyone can help me out!

  • Uploading the files to your host will “install” wordpress for you. You will need to import your local database to your hosts database server afterwards.

    Consult your Hosts’ instructions on importing a database to help.

    Also, look at this document to start. You’re moving your WordPress site, from your local machine to a server so the document applies.
