Built-in Captcha does not work

I tested MailPoet’s captcha on my test site with the latest MailPoet version and it works. Can you please check if you see the same after a full conflict test – https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/204-how-to-test-for-plugins-conflict?

Also, for the fake/spam signups we typically recommend trying the Google reCAPTCHA instead. Can you please check if it works for you?
