• Hi all,

I’ve exported another sites ‘Posts’ and imported them to our ‘Posts’ section on the new website – The problem is, the old site is like 8 years old and the Gutenberg editor wasn’t present at the time.

The new site is utilizing the Gutenberg editor, but all of my 1,400+ blog posts are using the ‘Classic’ on default which looks terrible with the rendering since it strips all the <p> tags and converts them into one single <p> tag. As soon as I click on ‘Convert to Blocks’ on a post, it fixes the formatting issues and works great.

Is there an option to bulk convert posts? I can’t individually go through all 1,400+ posts and manually click on each post.

    You could try this: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/bulk-block-converter/

However, older posts should not be having their content altered in any way *until* you convert them. Old posts, without blocks in them, go through the same process they have always gone through in WordPress. Nothing has changed there.

Posts made using the block editor have a different, newer, processing path than old ones do.
