bulk deleted spam comments via phpmyadmin – still being counted

Hi all,

I recently used the “DELETE from wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘0’;” and “DELETE from wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘1’;” command to clear out a large amount of spam comments posted before I activated an anti-spam plugin.

While the comments themselves are gone as expected, those that were initially approved are still being counted at the bottom of each post. I.e. a given post will say “9 comments” or somesuch even though they no longer exist. How do I go about clearing that?
