Hey, we finally made the switch several weeks ago to SEOFramework.

I cannot seem to figure out how to noindex/nofollow our custom post type (CPT) taxonomies/archives in bulk.

I see that if you noindex/nofollow a CPT, it will also noindex/nofollow the taxonomy/archive.

However, I want our CPTs to remain indexable, just not their taxonomies and archive pages.

    Thanks so much.

    Howdy!

I’m afraid there are no options to direct taxonomies and terms other than for native WordPress categories and tags. However, it is something that’s planned for a future release.

Nevertheless, to soften the pain, in TSF v4.0, we added bulk and quick-editing features to the WordPress table interface.

    Bulk editing posts
At the top-left of all your posts, you can check a select-all box, where above you can select the bulk-editing action.

Within the bulk-editing box, you can see visibility options, among which you can set “noindex” for all selected posts.

    Quick editing terms
As for terms, bulk-editing features aren’t natively available. However, you can use the “quick edit” option as you hover over the term entry, which also does the trick. Albeit, that’s a one-by-one job.

I hope there aren’t too many terms to go over, but I’m sure that through quick-edit you’ll be done in a jiffy ?? Cheers!

I appreciate the quick response Sybre.

I had to make sure I was not overlooking something. Hey, I will live!
