    Hello,

I have installed the free version of your plugin on my client’s website. Their website has 1.2GB of images stored in the uploads directory.

Will the bulk optimization cause significant resource strain on the server?

The server has the following specs:

    • LEMP stack
    • VPS with 2GB of memory and 50GB of SSD storage

    Cheers,

    Hi @mikehermary,

    Thank you for your message.

In the free version, images are converted using your server, which significantly loads it. In the PRO version, all images are converted using a remote server, so your server is not loaded.

    Best,
    Mateusz

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply. Would you recommend running the bulk optimization at a lower traffic period on the website?

@mikehermary Yes, it will be more safe.

I also recommend using the PRO version. Using the PRO version, you can try the AVIF format on your website. Images converted to the AVIF format on your website will weigh about 50% less than images converted to WebP only, maintaining even better image quality. This will further improve the performance of your website.

Failed or skipped file conversion attempts is this normal?

@pickwiz2433movies It happens that the converted images do not weigh less than the original ones and are then skipped. This mainly happens when converting to the WebP format, when the original images are small and have been previously optimized, or when the plugin settings use a higher quality than the default for the converted images.
