bulk optimization’s stuck: no progress!

hey there.
the following error occours bf and after updating to wp 5.2+imagify (the latest update):
when i try bulk optimization – nothing occours:
the spin loader keeps rolling but no % progress.
plus, when i click for details – there’s no progress as well on selected images.i have hunders of MB on my quota so i dont think tht’s the problem.
