    Hi there,

I just downloaded this plugin and I have a question about bulk optimization because my website contains more than 12k photos. Can the server get overloaded while optimizing so many images? Could I do it in batch to reduce server load?

    Thank you

    Hello,

It could, but it probably won’t as it processes them one at a time.

Indeed, it has not caused any issues on my server, although it continues to optimize images (it will take a couple of days). But I have a new question, could you help me configure EWWW for displaying WebP to users considering that my site uses the free version of Cloudflare?

    Thank you.

I would recommend having a look at the documentation for that, as you have to generate WebP versions and then serve them. You can either use the Polish feature of Cloudflare or the JS WebP delivery method. https://docs.ewww.io/article/119-webp-delivery

Again though, you need to generate WebP versions first: https://docs.ewww.io/article/118-webp-conversion

I have already done it through JS WebP delivery method and everything works correctly, but I have a few images set as “background-image” and those have not been changed to webp. Can it be configured in some way or do I have to do it from the code?

If the background images are loading via external CSS files, there isn’t a way to touch those so there isn’t a way for them to be loaded as WebP unless you use our premium Easy IO CDN which can load the CSS files and, as such, can then update the URLs to use the WebP files.

I’m going to resolve this thread however if you have any other questions, please feel free to open a new one.
