Bulk product moving to a category

    We have the category “Spices”, which has 339 products. Category Knifes has 68 products. These catgeories are missing on the live website.

    This caused the product to be listed under the category “Uncategorized”.

    We have a copy of the previous site available, where products are listed in the correct category.

    1). How to import all these products and categorgies to live site ?

    2). Products already there in Uncategorize. Any bulk moving option available to move to the correct category

    3). What is the correct way to fix this ?

    Hi @sibichan,

    Thank you for reaching out to WooCommerce’s support. There are multiple ways to handle categories in bulk. The quickest and easiest is the built in bulk editor in WordPress, you can learn how to edit your products in such way here: https://woocommerce.com/document/bulk-editing-products/.

    Another alternative, if you have a high number of products, is exporting them as a CSV file and making the edits in the CSV, then reimporting the products with the modified categories. You can learn how to use the import and export feature here: https://woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/.

    Please let us know if either of those options work for you, there are other alternatives to explore as well but those are the easiest, I say we can start there! ??
