Bulk Removal of older posts on a blog

I am trying to find out if there is a tool or method for removing older posts from a wordpress blog. As one of my aggregate blogs nears 10,000 posts, the time required to add a new post is getting longer and longer, and seeming to require more and more resources to get it done. So I am feeling that going back and removing older posts more than 12 months old will help to keep things moving along.

Anyone have any ideas? the only link to a plugin I could find here has gone 404.
