Bulk Rename Maxing out Processes in CPanel

  • When I use this program, it’s fantastic. It does the job of renaming photos. However, if I do more than one photo at a time or one photo at a time multiple times, it maxes out the processes in the CPanel and gets stuck on the last photo. It’s resulting in crashing the site. It seems like you can rename up to 5 at a time but you have to then stop, wait over an hour and do 5 more and so forth.

    Is there a work around? It does a great job, but it’s so slow and keeps getting caught in the processes even after saying it is done. Thanks!

    Hi @sewingalot,
    I tried renaming a batch of 10 images and I had no problems, I think that your hosting have some kind of limit.

    Can you tell me which hosting platform are you using?

    Hostgator. It kept crashing on me even with just one name change and maxing out the processes so I removed it completely. I’ve had no more issues with the site since the uninstall.

    I just released version 2.0.0 that contains a new option: you can disable reviews processing.

    @mrleif found that disabling reviews processing can speed up the process.

    Please note: if you disable review processing, you risk broken media file link if you revert a post to an older state.
