• I recently switched servers and had to combine several wordpress installs in to one. While doing that somehow some of the blog posts got linked to each other without their parent page so they are now showing as 404s. Is there a way to do a mass search and replace so I don’t have to do 134 search and replace commands?

Ex: I have 134 URLs that need to be changed from: /blogposttitle to: blogname/blogposttitle Thanks in advance for any tips!

  • I use the plugin Better Search & Replace – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/better-search-replace/

It’s very useful, powerful and dangerous. Use it carefully and take a backup before you begin.

@bigmoxy thanks for your reply. I’ve used the better search and replace plugin for smaller jobs but I’m not seeing a way to do a bulk upload or entry of URLs and then a way to add their corresponding URLs that I want them changed to. I’ve found even more URLs I need to update and now I have more than 500. I’m trying to find a way to do it all at once.
