    Hello,
I’m wondering if there is a way to bulk unset the custom sidebar of multiple posts at once. In the quickedit dropdown I’m only able to select “no change” or select another sidebar. But since I need to remove the custom set sidebar on hundreds of posts, I would appreciate, if there is an option to solve this with one click.

Is such a function available or planned?

  • HI @mattce

I admit I’m not sure why you got “no change” option there only. I’ve just checked it on my site with default WordPress configuration and only Custom Sidebars plugin active and the first option on that drop-down list that I get is an “empty” selected.

Selecting it removes the sidebar association. If you select “no change” on your site, that actually works as it says (keeps assigned sidebar unchanges), right?

There’s a possible workaround that you could use though: create an additional sidebar without widgets and assign it to all your posts/pages from which you want to remove custom sidebar. Once that’s done simply delete that custom sidebar alltogether.

    Have you tried that?

    Best regards,
    Adam
