Bulk user imports not generating notifications

    I am trying to use the plugin “Import and export users and customers” to bulk import users into WordPress. When I use this plugin the notifications fail to send to the new users or they are sent the default WP email instead of the customised one from BNFW.

    Are you aware of any alternatives to bulk-adding users that still trigger the BWFW notifications?

    Thanks for your message.

    I have seen this before. This usually happens when the import/export plugin is overriding the notification or not saving the user info using the correct hook. When this happens, BNFW can’t detect the addition of a new user.

    I don’t have any other suggestions other than to try another plugin to see if it helps. The CIMY plugin has the same issue too btw. More details on that one can be found here: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/known-compatibility-issues/

    I am using the Import Export Users and Customers plugin too. When I import a user, it does send the user a password reset email, but it’s the standard WP email, not the one I customized with BNFW. The WP password reset email looks too much like a spam/scam message and often ends up in junk mail. I need to find a solution ASAP…I’ve moved my site to a new host and I’ve got nearly 1,900 subscribers I need to migrate to it.

    Hi @reneyoung,
    I don’t have any other advice at this time other than to try other import plugins and see if you can find one that works. I haven’t found one/been made aware of one yet.
