Bullet Lists in WordPress 4.0

  • In WP 3.9.2, when you have multiple lines, like so:

    Line 1
    Line 2
    Line 3
    Line 4

    In the visual editor, if you highlight these lines and hit the bullet list button, it will become:

    • Line 1
    • Line 2
    • Line 3
    • Line 4

    However, in WP 4.0, now it becomes:

    • Line 1
      Line 2
      Line 3
      Line 4

    The previous method now only works if there are spaces between each line, like so:

    Line 1

    Line 2

    Line 3

    Line 4

    How can I fix this?

    Try a few basic troubleshooting steps:
    – Clear your browser’s cookies and all cache.
    – Try deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fourteen Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.

    It doesn’t have anything to do with my browser or theme.

    It’s the WordPress post editor. Please re-read my post. =)
