Bulletin board based on WordPress

  • Can anyone suggest a good, lightweight and clean forum software or forum plugin that can easily be used together with WordPress, perhaps sharing its settings?
    I have just tried bbPress but it lacks in localizations and styles, and still has several bugs that are hard to fix for one who can’t afford spending one week rewriting half of such a bulletin board script.

  • bbPress spawned from miniBB. There’s also punBB. I have no idea how easy or hard it might be to integrate either of those with WordPress.

    I like bbPress a lot because of tags and the way it shows threads, topics and forums available. Apart from the WordPress integration, which may be difficult, is there any other bb software similar to bbPress around?
