Bundling products

How is it possible that Woocommerce is so badly written that you can’t do the most basic things? I want to create a bundle, or group, or composite product with an overall price and prices of individual components. Can’t do it. Tried product bundles, composite products and mix and match but no method allows me to create a product with an overall price that has individual components with their own prices. It’s appalling that the only major ecommerce program in WordPress is so inadequate. Any ideas much appreciated. Alternatives to Woocommerce anyone?
