We have 36 different innsitters/ businesses. Each with their own personal email.
I have tried a test to email from each business listing and it says it is sent but no one ever get the email when I check with them.

What is going on? WHat should the setting be?
    Thank you

I am getting this error message: Important: Since the “Display email address fields publicly?” setting is disabled, display settings below will not be honored and this field will not be displayed on the frontend. If you want e-mail addresses to show on the frontend, you can enable public display of e-mails.

I don’t want it to show their actual email addresses because of spammers.

Is this the reason a message can’t be sent from each different business???
    this can’t be correct
I tried to use WP simple smtp but no everyone has uses the same email provider so I can’t figure out how that would work. Sorry I am not real good at this technical stuff.
    thanks for your help.

    Hi @innkeeperea,

Sorry that you ran into issues with this!

Email delivery issues are complicated and the reasons for email not showing up can be related to a lot of things outside of BD itself. We have an article on a series of things to check and change first–so I’d encourage you to go through these steps to ensure that delivery is definitely possible:
    https://awpcp.com/forum/faq/problems-with-email-and-awpcp/

As for the second issue, we have a setting to avoid spam coming back to listing owners (that’s why the emails aren’t publicly displayed, but if you click you get a contact form that allows you to enter YOUR info and send it to them via the site) If you enable the contact form under the Listings tab, each business will be able to receive public messages without publishing their email and becoming a spam target.

    Does that make more sense?
