Busts Paragraph Spacing Ghosts!
-
I kept being delayed in my project due to trying to troubleshoot and fix the classic issue of “paragraphs disappear in the text editor in Text view,” which carries over on the front end and shows my text all compacted without paragraphs.
When this happens, you will also find that WordPress inserted a number of “divs” (visible only in Text view) within the text, to no avail.
Using TinyMCE Advanced, I found this checkbox in the plugin’s settings. Under “Advanced Options” there is a checkbox for “Keep paragraph tags.”
This option’s description is as follow: “Stop removing the <p> and <br /> tags when saving and show them in the Text editor. This will make it possible to use more advanced coding in the Text editor without the back-end filtering affecting it much. However it may behave unexpectedly in rare cases, so test it thoroughly before enabling it permanently. Line breaks in the Text editor would still affect the output, in particular do not use empty lines, line breaks inside HTML tags or multiple <br /> tags.”
BUSTED!!! Everything is back to normal, now. Thanks to the developers of this crucial plugin!
