Button Displaying But Not Working Correctly

I was able to get the “Read More” button to display on my live page. It hides the text that I want it to hide, however when I click it, it appears to refresh the page but doesn’t reveal the text that I was hiding. Is there a way to just have it reveal the rest of the content in that section without it refreshing the page?

I want to ensure that I am using the “insert short code inline” function in Gutenberg correctly. I am adding the short code [expander_maker id=”2″ more=”Read more”] right before the text that I want to hide and [/expander_maker] right after the part I want to hide.
