Button Element redirecting to Forminator + filling form out

It is doable and Forminator doesn’t need any additional custom code for it. It already has a “pre-populate” function built-in for such use.

Assuming that you already have your select and checkbox fields configured with all the options. all you need to do is to edit both the fields and in their “settings” sections scroll down to the “Pre-populate” option.

There you need to put some custom names of URL parameters that you are going to use.

Let’s say I put word “product” in the “pre-populate” setting of select field and word “product-request” in the “pre-populate” setting of checkbox field.

Now all I need to do is to visit my form URL like this

https://mysite.com/formpage/?product=car&product-request=yes

where “car” and “yes” should be replaced with, respectively, select and checkbox option value (value, not label) that you want to have automatically selected.

If you want also to use anchor in link, you would need to append it at the end like this

https://mysite.com/formpage/?product=car&product-request=yes#kontakt

Note: the “words” in pre-populate settings must be unique to each form field, cannot have spaces/blanks and special characters in them and should not be any of these reserved terms:
