Button gone after update!!!

Sorry you are having troubles. Your buttons are still there. Please deactivate/activate MaxButtons and let us know if that takes care of the problem.

We upgraded the plugin with a different way of storing the buttons to make it more flexible ( = us adding more features ). Unfortunately every few cases WordPress doesn’t run this activation script to make this update happen. Hence the manual de-activation / activation.

I had a similar error.

The buttons still appear on the website where previously added, and they are still there in the plug in page.

But when I edit a post and press the “Add Button” button, no buttons appear for adding to my posts.

I have tried deactivating and reactivating but that hasn’t worked.

Did you try the latest version? We changed the add button button interface quite recently.

Could you also describe what’s going wrong. When you click ‘add button’ does it show any window? If not it might be that some other plugin interfering.

For now you can add the buttons to a page by copying the shortcode listed on the button editor ( and in the overview ) of the plugin and paste it into your editor.

Using version 3.04.2.

Also trying to create new buttons, for a new page, but not finding the options to do so.

Sigh.

Phew!! I did get to create the new buttons!

But it is looking like I will have to reinstall some of the others….

For the next readers, don’t start creating new buttons if something goes wrong since that will disallow any migration the plugin is doing from the old database table to the new one.
