Button Links to Skype instead of regular phone

    I’m using a Button that says Schedule a Call and the link starts with “tel:1…”.

    But clicking that link goes to Skype, which I don’t want.

    How do I make a Button link point to a regular phone line, and not to Skype?

  • Hi Marikane,

    It will only be able to call directly, for mobile phone users that visit your site. When you try it on a desktop or laptop, it will show the nearest good option to call. As you have Skype on your PC, it will resort to Skype.

    Logologics is correct. You wrote the Tel command correctly (“Tel: 123-456-7890 “).

    Whatever opens depends on your device as well as the program that is defined to open when you make an outbound call (in your PC’s case, it’s Skype).
