    Hello Akash,

    I have two questions:

The button is not shown in my blog only the link. Is that theme dependent?

And what about future proofing? I am now using the Classic plugin for the classic editor. When I would move on to Gutenberg, I can use your Mighty plugin. But can I still use all the made pro/contra lists I made up to that point?

    Thanks a lot
    Stephan

    Hi Stephan,

Yes, maybe your theme is customizing the styling of the button. If you can provide me with the page URL with the Pros and Cons, so I can look and fix.

Suppose you moved to the Gutenberg editor today, you don’t have to convert your whole blog post (made in Classic editor) to Gutenberg compatible. As Gutenberg, is based on blocks, it’ll convert your whole classic editor’s post into a classic editor block.

But yes, you do need to keep the plugin installed and active and it’ll work just fine. And for using it in the Gutenberg, just install the Mighty Pros and Cons.

Let me know if you’re still confused.

    Thanks,
    Akash

    Hi Akash,

thanks for your explanation! Is it sufficient then to have posts from classic Pros and Cons but use the Mighty Pros and Cons or do I run both at the same time?

That would be amazing! Here is a link to a post with the pros and cons and enabled and as you can see it only shows the link no button:

I have following ideas to make for Button Link Target and Button Rel Attribute. Maybe they should be “Open in new tab” and “Nofollow” as standard, as for affiliate linking that would be standard. And it could save same clicks every time you make a new list. Just a suggestion though!

    Hey,

I checked the page and the button is missing jd-wppc-btn wp-block-button__link classes from the link tag. Maybe some other plugin is removing the class through JS or maybe the plugin WP Fastest Cache is caching the styling.

Try clearing your cache or update the Classic Pros & Cons Plugin.

Regarding the Gutenberg conversion, you’ve to run both plugins at the same time so you can create new Pros and Cons through Gutenberg one and simultaneously support the old Classic Pros & Cons sections.

Great suggestion. Let me see about this and you’ll find this in the next update.

And let me know if your issue is fixed.

    Thanks.

    Hey,

thanks for your feedback. Makes sense with the two plugins.

I found the culprit after switching off cache and such. It is a snippet I run to add a * after every affiliate link I made on the blog. This seems to conflict with the button. If I switch the snippet of, the button shows.

As I am going to use an Amazon plugin anyway, I might skip the button, just use the pro and cons and then add an Amazon ad. That should give a nice combination.

Thanks a lot for your help,
    Stephan

    Good idea, Stephan.

Cool then, closing this issue. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Hi,

I am having the same issue, I don’t see the button for adding the pros and cons in the post. I tried w/disabling all plugins and enabling one by one, changing the theme and nothing helped.

    Hi @kremenovics,

We’ve just updated the plugin with a fix for this issue.

It was happening due to the latest v5.6 WordPress update.

Can you try updating and let me know how it goes?

    Thanks,
    Akash

    Hi,

    Cool @kremenovics

You can always open a new issue, if something else comes up.
