    Hi!

We are using the shortcode ‘better_messages_live_chat_button’ as suggested on a previous question and we’ve realized now that the button sometimes work and sometimes does not.

Unlike the ‘better_messages_pm_button’ that displays the link of the chat on hover, the ‘better_messages_live_chat_button’ displays the same page where the button is plus a ‘#’ (example.com/#) so first the page reloads (which is not great UX). After that, sometimes it takes a few seconds to redirect again to the chat but sometimes doesn’t do anything and just stays there.

    How can we fix this?

    thx

    Hi there!

Unfortunately I do not able to reproduce any issues like that at my websites.

If you want to open the chat at the same page, You can upgrade to WebSocket version and enable Mini Chats feature, which will open the conversation in mini chat at the same page.

    Thanks!

    Hey! I managed to fix.

Turned out when I changed the shortcode ‘better_messages_pm_button’ for ‘better_messages_live_chat_button’ I didn’t change the name of the class and this was causing the weird behavior on the link.

    Kind regards
