    Hi!

I love this plugin and want to help make it better with some feedback! I’ve used it across 3 big websites and ran into a few things that could be better.

    1) If the text on a button doesn’t fit into the column (on mobile phones) the text gets broken up into 2 lines and it ends up being aligned left instead of centered.

Can you make it so the button text is always centered?
This is what it looks like: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/409027235060776961/705522372861624430/unknown.png
It looks normal on desktops and if the text fits in one line.

    2) As you also see in the screenshot, all the cells have a padding at the top. Can you make it so there is no padding or at least make it so the content is vertically centered?
This is the case on desktop and mobile, no matter how it’s configured. I have all the paddings set to zero but the top padding still remains.

    3) Can you add a different type of button which allows us to set the color and text of that button globally for the whole website? The normal buttons wouldn’t be affected by it, just this new type of button. That’s why 2 types are needed.

Basically, if I want to do product top lists, I need to be able to change the color and text on the whole site to see if people respond to it better, or to change the overall color scheme of the site. But with the normal button, I’d have to manually change hundreds or even thousands of buttons every time!
Each button still gets its own link, of course, but the color and text should be globally controlled.

    4) Can you add a shortcode that allows us to put those cool star ratings into our WordPress posts? There is NO plugin that does this and you already have star ratings in it. Might as well let us use them everywhere else! ??

    Thank you!
    Ellie

    Hi Ellie,

Thank you very much for the detailed post.

    1) We will fix that.

    2) That padding seems to be added by theme styles. But I guess we can make sure that doesn’t happen.

    3) While this is a great idea, I am not sure if we will be able to do that. Instead what I can suggest is to use custom CSS to alter all the Table Buttons and text color. That way, you will not need a new button element just for that purpose.

    4) We want the plugin to be table specific only, so we will not add shortcodes that work outside of table scope. But if you are using the new Editor (Gutenberg), we do have a plugin that will let you add Stars in your posts. Please check out our plugin Ultimate Blocks. It comes with other very useful features.

    Hope this helps.

Please reach out anytime with any issues or suggestions for us to improve the plugin.

    Regards.

    Hi Imtiaz,

    Thank you for your reply!

    3) Can you please explain how to do that / post a CSS code for it?
Of course, it would be great if you found a way to add it as a feature.

    4) Most people use higher level editors like WP Bakery, Elementor, Thrive Architect etc. so it would be useful to have a shortcode for it. Like I said, there is no plugin at all for that. Not even the popular “Shortcode Ultimate” plugin has star ratings. And every other star rating plugin adds schema code, which is not what I’m looking for. It’s just about adding stars like it’s possible in your table plugin.

    Best,
    Ellie

    Hi again,

I figured out how to control the button colors and text. Still would be cool to have the option to create global buttons as well. Maybe even more than 1 global button.

    Thank you!

    Hi @elliemarino88,

    Glad to hear that.

We might add option in the Settings to controls colors globally. But I still can not promise anything.

    Regards.

    Hi Imtiaz

    Another idea for the buttons!

Can you add the ability to add a fontawesome icon on the left of the text, like a shopping cart or Amazon logo (as it’s usually done with buttons)? Also, it would be cool to have the option for a border or 3D button etc. to get some styling rather than just a plain flat button like it’s right now.

    Cheers!
    Ellie
