Button to paste HTML code

Hi all.
Looking for some help with the best way to solve a problem i am having.
So basically i have some html code that displays a set of team members, i need to create a button or other method so that when clicked in the wordpress editor it will paste the code that can then be edited to suit.
I feel i am making this harder than it seems but i am unable to find a good solution to what i need to do.
Any advise or places to start looking greatly appreciated

@boda1982, thank you for the info, i am very much out of touch with WP development and wasn’t even aware a new editor was being implemented.
@joyously, i looked into shortcodes, but i need the outputted HTML to be editable,a shortcode would not allow this.
EDIT (thank you Joy, had not seen that particular snippets plugins and that will work for me until i can come up with a fancier solution.)
