Button tracking with GTM

    Hello all,

    I would to use buttons on my website and track these buttons.

    So, is there a way to identify a button and use this unique identification as trigger in GTM ?
    FOr now, if i have several different buttons on a page, the variables (with GTM) are all the same (except the text or the link, but i don’t want to use it).

    If someone can help ?? Seb

    Hi Seb,

    MaxButtons PRO has a feature for using Google Analytics ( and GTM ) with the buttons.

    Hello,

    Thank you but I don’t need all the features of the Pro version. I know how to use GTM and google analytics. I’m just looking for a unique identification of each button. Maybe the ID or whatever (but they don’t appear in the GTM variable).

    Every button has the ID set as class, and optionally a name set in the button editor. Probably you can do something with that.
