    Hello,
Yes, read the description page.. and you will see that with WordPress version 3.9 and above, you’ll need to switch to using WP Edit:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-edit/

There is an option in that plugin (under the ‘database’ tab) which will attempt to import any options from Ultimate Tinymce.

You mean Tiny MCE won’t work with 3.9?

I have just installed WP Edit and trying it out … So, I will not need TinyMCE any longer?

Sorry … nothing is happening … no buttons.

    Correct.
Ultimate Tinymce will not work with WordPress versions 3.9 and above.

    Correct.
You will not need Ultimate Tinymce any longer. You may deactivate and delete the plugin files.

Try manually refreshing your browser cache. You probably still have the older versions cached in your browser.

    Thank you!

Looks like I will need to upgrade it to pro to get what I want. But, when I clicked the link, it still says Tinymce Pro …??

Which one is the right one for WP Edit upgrade?

    Thanks.

Arrggg… I probably missed a link in there somewhere.
Could you please tell me exactly which one you clicked?

What features are you wanting? Perhaps I can explain why they are included in pro.

    OK …

    I clicked 2 different ones.
-The one in the Developer Note.
-The one that pops up when I click the greyed out choices of the buttons.

Perfect. How the heck did I miss those? Pretty important.. don’t ya think??

    Thank you!

I’ve updated WP Edit to version 1.3, which contains the correct links.

    The correct link should be:
    https://wpeditpro.com

Now .. the page, the link, is not loading …

    We’re having a rough night, aren’t we?

    Should I wait for v 1.3?

    Can you believe this?

I use HostGator. Have been using them for 5+ years.

I’ve been preparing for this WP update for the past 5 months.

Now… that everything is released.. and I’m at the most crucial stages of the transition…. my server is crashing.

Called HostGator… “We know we have a problem. We are working quickly to resolve the issue”. Well, that’s great… but WTF about all my current and potential customers???

Sorry.. just ranting. You can try again in 10 or 20 minutes… it should be back on again.

Really sorry…. this certainly doesn’t reflect my typical customer service ??

    What a PAIN ….

My blog is for non-profit, but still I get pretty upset when it is down. When your money is on the line, and it’s a bad timing … it is serious.

Anyway … I started another thread on an issue with Fonts. My favorite sized are all missing .. lol. And, headers and things are not working well. Can you look at them when you get a chance? Appreciate it.

I am not a codie or techie person … that is why I appreciate, and “depend on,” your plugin very much.

I will try the link tomorrow. I know your service is pretty good …

Hope the server gets fixed soon.

    Thanks!

    Yes, of course.
I’ll check the other topic now.
    Thank you.

    Hi Josh,

I have updated WP 9.3 but now indeed the text editor doesn’t work anymore – the WYSIWYG part – even after I’ve deleted the Tiny MCE Advanced plugin and cleared the caches.
    What could be wrong?

    Thanks.

Here are the steps to get the editor restored if something is interfering:

    1. Deactivate ALL plugins.
    2. Switch to the default 2014 theme.
    3. Manually empty and refresh your browser cache.

This should get you working properly again. If it still does not, then try using a different browser to check.

If it is working properly, begin reactivating your theme and plugins one at a time.. going back to check to see if it breaks the editor again.

Thanks. I did the deactivating and refreshing.

I got this message in the console:
    “JQMIGRATE: Logging is active” jquery-migrate.js:21
    “JQMIGRATE: jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated” jquery-migrate.js:41
Stacktrace van jquery-migrate.js, functie migrateWarn, regel 43. jquery-migrate.js:43
