The SiteOrigin buttons have disappeared just leaving the links.
I think this occurred after the last update but I can’t be sure.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I don’t think I’ve seen that happen before. To confirm, you’re clicking the button shown in this screenshot https://imgur.com/a/ZO44tRu. Normally, after clicking the button, a JSON file would be downloaded to your downloads folder or desktop, depending on your browser settings.

I’ll ask Alex to have a look at your site as-is and we’ll get back to you ASAP. Thanks.

Yes, that was the button I was clicking.
    Thanks for sticking with this.
However, as the issue only seems to be affecting the home page I can easily change the colours as per that first one on the page. Or don’t you want me to do that until Alex has had a look?

If you could leave those buttons for a few hours until Alex has taken a look, that would be helpful. Thanks!

    OK. Will do. Thanks.

    Hi lawriem1,

I’ve had a look at your website and you appear to be facing the issue that 1.17.2 was meant to resolve. I run some tests using your layout to work out what’s going on. You appear to be using Wordfence. Is that correct? If so, it may be blocking the download.

Please try downloading the layout again. If you’re unable to, please navigate to WP Admin > Wordfence > Tools and open the Live Traffic tab. Filter by Blocked by Firewall and search the request you just made, it’ll be associated with your user account. Click Whitelist param from Firewall. Please try downloading the layout again.
    ?
    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Hi Alex
I have tried to download the layout again without success.
I checked Wordfence (blocked by firewall) but the attempt is not logged.

Hi Lawrie. If you have a moment, you could perhaps try a quick plugin conflict test. Does the layout download if you temporarily deactivate all plugins except for those authored by SiteOrigin?

    Thread Starter lawriem1

    (@lawriem1)

Yes with all non SiteOrigin plugins deactivated, the layout downloaded.
If you let me have an email address I’ll arrange for WeTransfer to email you the json file.

Super, thanks. You can use WeTranfer without the receiving email address inserted, a link will be provided which you can post here.

I have just manually changed the button and button text colours and it looks OK.
I don’t know what caused the buttons to become invisible, just leaving the link text, but I’m happy to mark this as resolved now. Thanks for your time and effort.

uh oh I have just looked at another site and all the buttons which had default colours (and showed up as blue on the front end with white text) have also become invisible, just leaving the blue link text.

Please, find a beta release for the Widgets Bundle here. To make use of this update, go to Plugins, deactivate and delete the Widgets Bundle. Install the update from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Let us know how it goes. Sorry for the hassle.

Sorry. I’ve installed and activated the beta release but it hasn’t made any difference.
As you can see from this screenshot, the only buttons that show are those which have had their colour changed (to black).
