Invalid Display Type – Version 2.0

    Hi,

    after upgrading to 2.0, no gallery is longer displayed at frontend. I′ve got the error at header and at the articles: array(1) { [“display_type”]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(20) “Invalid display type” } } and invalid display type.

    At Backend the slider option dialogs aren′t shown right, the titles are missing. I think it belongs to my multisite installation (subdomains), because at a single wordpress installation all is fine. And I use https on login.

    I think I do a rollback to .93 or have you got an idea?

  • I just updated to 2.0.7 and am still receiving error messages.

    Here is the shortcode I’m using:
    [ ngg_images gallery_ids=”8″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails” ]

    And here is the error code displaying on my page:
    array(1) { [“display_type”]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(20) “Invalid display type” } }

    Also, I cleared the cache before viewing changes.

    Is something entered wrong or dces the plugin still have issues? Already having to charge my client for this research, so a speedy fix/response would be greatly appreciated!!

    I had the problem, but only on the sidebar of pages that are tag-archives. Just went and installed the latest beta… problem is gone! Thanks for the quick fix.

    I just updated to 2.0.11.
    No luck. Same issue…

    Latest upgrade to 2.0.11 has not helped me either.
    I am losing the second and subsequent pages of a multi-page gallery.
    Throwing a 404 error.

    The array error at my multisite is still there.

    I am running a WP MU 3.6 installation. All sites use Nextgen version 2.0.11.

    On the main site https://www.gaidaphotos.de nextgen is working fine. At least I have not noticed any issues. ??
    All subsequent sites return array errors between title and text body and “Invalid Displayed Gallery” when shortcodes are used. Example https://www.gaidaphotos.de/hochzeit-neu/

    I’ve been on vacation and did not notice the errors until recently. Since the last comments here are more than 6 days old, I wonder if there is a final resolution available or if you still need bug reports.

    Just a quick update for the Multisite issues, we are actively working on these and we are also collecting a special mailing list to send out a Multisite beta version of the NextGEN Gallery plugin.

    Please note “Multisite Beta” in the “Issue Title” as well as your interest in helping us sort out these issues. If you have something specific you would like us to address you can also use that form to submit login credentials for your site that our support team and/or developers may use if necessary.

    Just try the latest released version 2.0.14 and got the same error ..
    array(1) { [“display_type”]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(20) “Invalid display type” } }
    I’m running WP 3.6 multisite installation.

    Is the latest beta version different (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-latest-beta) of the 2.0.14 one ?

    Yup same invalid display issues.

    Also the Gallery settings page is very confusing, no titles or anything. Rubbish release I have to say. Going back to older version.

    The current beta listed on our page here: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-latest-beta/ does not include the Multisite code we are testing but it is scheduled to be in our next beta release very soon.

Invalid Displayed Gallery

    Finaly I’ve gotten arround fixing wordpress, and I noticed this, .. any of you using xili?

    Because this error goes away unticking “modify home query” on the “https://www.xxxxx.xx/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=language_front_set” page .. under Select Language of the front page displays

    at least that fixes it for me.

    So if you ask me it is xili-language which is causing the problem and not nextgen-gallery.
