Did everything stop working after the 1.3 update, or did you install/change anything else that might have stopped it from working?

    Hi Greg

Since I opened this thread I have installed Page Builder on another domain and its working perfectly over on that one, so it’s has to be another plugin.

I installed a few, but not sure which one has affected it:

    Countdown Clock
    Easy Set Favicon
    Comprehensive Google Map Plugin
Black Studio TinyMCE Widget (Doubt it’s that as you recommended it)
    Per Page Sidebar Blocks
    Styles
    Exclude Pages from Navigation
Custom Widget Area (Could it be this??)

    I tried the following

    Closed all browsers and reopened
    Cleared the browser history (cache)
Viewed the website via IE, Firefox and Chrome
Turned laptop on and off (I was feeling desperate)
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Page Builder (no difference)

Now I am deleting as many plugins as possible.

    Thanks very much.

Just to clarify I have deactivated and deleted Custom Widget Area and Page Builder still isn’t working.

    Revised:
The latest version of Page Builder 1.3 is greatly improved in both performance and the GUI, with no issues. Thank you for your great work.

    Older version:
I also found that you are unable to delete a block. You get the confirmation popup, but nothing happens. Will do more testing on plugin conflicts. Page Builder still works.

    Hi Greg

I have uploaded two screen shots to my PhotoBucket account to help you understand the problem

    Thanks

I’ve never seen this. Have you tried de-activating all plugins?

I have deactivated and deleted as many plugins as possible. But unfortunately the site is live. So I can’t backtrack too far. So I cant deactivate everything.

I can only assume that a plugin I added after PageBuilder has damaged PageBuilder and uninstalling all plugins that I installed after PageBuilder has not repaired the problem.

As I said earlier uninstalling and reinstalling Page Builder didn’t resolve the problem.

I suspect the culprit to be “Custom Widget Area”. As PageBuilder is all about adding widgets. However I must stress that I am making an assumption about that.

I can only guess that some fragment of code somewhere has been corrupted.

I am lost at this point and was hoping Greg could help.

I think the only way for me to figure this one out would be to get a temporary admin account (you can delete it when I’m done), so I can log in and try diagnose the issue myself.

If you don’t mind, you can create it for [email protected]

I’m busy looking into what’s causing this issue. At the moment, I’m stumped, but hoping I can come up with something…

I am glad you have logged in and managed to see the missing buttons yourself. That website is on an external server somewhere else in a UK data centre. So it had to be a code issue and nothing peculiar to my local setup.

    Thanks Greg.

This is unique to this server as PS works on many sites without this problem.

A – Check out if the folder has correct access
B – if all the files have been uploaded
C – If the “wp-content” folder has been renamed

If the site is live then use a maintenance plugin so that you may work on the site.

I had this problem and I solved it. Look in phpmyadmin database and look for old scrap from old/deleted plugins. Get rid of them (back-up first). Second, into your root folder in ftp, look for unwanted folders from old/deleted plugins (back-up first). Clear browser cache, and it’s done. This plugin is too complete to build a good website, you need too few plugins to add functionality.

Comprehensive Google Map Plugin, facebook plugins, have small problems in various themes

    Thank you again Greg.

I have the same problem it is my first time to install it those buttons are missing.

I haven’t been able to find exactly what’s causing this issue. Usually I can figure these things out using Chrome’s developer tools, but with this issue the buttons just aren’t being displayed despite their HTML being in tact and nothing funny happening with their CSS.

I’m on my iPad at the moment, so I can’t check – but can anyone confirm that this issue is happening in both Chrome and Firefox? lol_easy, would you mind checking this?
