Buttons not showing in the cookie bar

I’.m using wordpress 5.7 and cookie consent 2.3.1

The banner doesn’t show the buttons for the user, instead shows what looks like wordpress shortcodes codes.

Its on the free version at the moment as my paid version expired and i have not worked on my new site for a while. I don’t want to renew this yet until i know this is fixable.
