I installed Yoast SEO today on our site. However there seems to be a problem and I have been unable to find help on the forums.

After installing the plugin I received the prompt asking me to ‘Start processing’. However, pressing the button does nothing. I have pressed it and waited an hour, I have pressed it on different pages of the site, I have rebooted and refreshed but it seems the button is simply not working unfortunately. I also tried to press ‘hide this notice’ but it also does nothing.

Also when I go to the SEO tab on the WordPress dashboard, it is showing only ads and the option to upgrade to premium, so nowhere for me to begin configuration.

If you could please let me know the best way to fix this I would be most grateful.

    Hi @esthermm ,

We are sorry to hear about your issues with the plugin. We understand you just installed the plugin and yet you are already experiencing these issues. Can you please confirm if everything on your site plugins/themes/WordPress) is updated?

After updating, does the issue resolve? If not, just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.
