I have been editing this Home Page-in-progress and having a weird problem. I can create a Max Buttons block in Gutenberg, place and configure buttons, and they go up and work fine. But If I return to the page editor for any reason – the buttons are gone, and the Max Buttons blocks have reverted to – “To start, add a MaxButton via the Block Settings on the right.” The buttons of course, promptly vanish from the rendered page. This is regardless of using unique ID or reconfigured buttons.

WordPress 4.9.8 running Twenty Eleven theme. MaxButtons Version 7.5.2

    Any idea?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Follow up –

I am able to create persistent buttons if I drop a Shortcode into a CLASSIC EDITOR box in Gutenberg. But if I try to use a MaxButton Blocks in Gutenberg, they drop their content when I navigate away from the editor.

Thanks for letting us know. It seems that indeed in Gutenberg 4.0 at least, everything is being saved (text, the block) except for the button number itself. The block itself doesn’t dissapear.

As you can imagine it’s work in progress, but we’ll take a look at this.

We’ve released version 7.6 just now which should fix this issue. Please let me know if it does for you.
