Buy one, discount the next item not working

    I am trying to set up a pricing rule that when someone buys one item and goes to check out, they are offered a big discount on the next item. I have put the settings as follows.
    Cart Purchase Discount
    Buy One, Get One
    Buy something, discount the next item

    Yet when I try it out, it is discounting the first item even without a 2nd item in the cart.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Try this:

    Blueprint Section
    Deal Applied in Catalog or Cart : Cart Purchase Discount
    Deal Type : Buy one Get one (Bogo)
    Deal Action : Buy something, discount the item
    Show Me : Advanced

    Buy Group Section
    Buy Group Amount Type : Buy Unit Quantity
    Buy Group Amount Count : 2
    Buy Group Filter : Any Product

    Get Group Section
    Get Group Amount Type : Discount Unit Quantity
    Get Group Amount Count : 1
    Get Group Filter : Discount Group Same as Buy Group
    Get Group Repeat : none

    Discount Section
    Discount Amount Type : [your choice]…
