    Hello!
I have a question that I’m unsure if the pro version could help with. I would like to sell product X and then have 1 of product Y be free. Each additional product Y would be $12.

I also would want it so that even if you bought 5 Product X – you would still only get 1 product Y free.

I also want Product Y to be added to the cart manually (as it is an optional free product) so if you bought product X you would still have to add product Y to the cart before that first product Y is free.

    Can this be achieved?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Thanks for your query. The answer to all of your questions is ‘Yes!’.
For an example, please see https://www.varktech.com/documentation/pricing-deals/examples/#bogo
and look for “Buy any apple, get a California Orange Free”

    Hi,
Thanks for your query. Free version definitely supports
“Buy any 2 Items, get 5% off the cart” .

    Here’s how:
    https://www.varktech.com/documentation/pricing-deals/examples/#advanced
look for “Buy 12 bottles of wine, get 20% off all purchases”.
    Just change:
Buy Group Filter : any product
Buy Group Amount Count : 2
    Discount Amount Count : 5
    etc….

    Best,
    Vark

Just tagging on to this, if I wanted to say Buy Product X, get Product Y free (auto added to cart) is this possible as well?

Or another combination would be buy above $X get product Y free (auto added to cart).

And is this only possible for the Pro version of the plugin?

    Thanks!

Hi Vark, thanks for getting back so fast.

Forgot to add one more question – the product is added to cart using the URL option Woocommerce has for adding a specific product to cart by URL.

Meaning that I code an ‘add to cart’ button on a landing page outside of woo commerce and the product is added to the cart that way.

Will this effect the Buy X get Y (added to cart automatically) process?

    Hi,
Discounts are based on what’s in the cart, not how they are added… so it should work fine. You could run a test using the free version from www.ads-software.com, just to be 101% sure….

    Vark

which pricing deals example should I run to test this out?

    Hi,
As you are testing the add-to-cart ‘outside’ of the normal path, any discount will do. Auto add will follow along like a good dog, when the Pro version is used.

Got it, will test and if it works out will get the Pro version.

    works like a charm!

    Thanks!
