Buy X get Y but on the product site not in the cart

Hey,
I search for a way to give a discount on product Y if you buy product x (and the other way around).
The problem is that I did only find a way to create a variable product with checkboxes where I do combine both products as an option and type in the discount manually altough i would like the user to either click on checkbox x and then he gets shown that there is a discount on product y or to click on checkbox y without getting any discount.
The plugins i found which are able to create pricing rules were sadly all giving the discount in the cart but not at the product page.(I am currently using woocommerce)
Is there any way/plugin to solve my problem?
I don’t know if this is the wrong forum for this question since i’m a newbie, if it is, i’m sorry and would like to post it on some other place.
