This plugin does not work as advertised. Many of the features are completely non-functional. They do respond to my emails, but they never fix anything.

Don’t waste your time and money, there are other plugins that do this that work as well or better. FeedWordPress is the best one I have used.

Anyone who has this plugin installed and/or has bought one of the add-ons can testify to the number of regular updates and improvements that we release. We also pride ourself with great support.

Please elaborate and share which features are non-functional.

To start, when I purchased the plugin a few weeks ago, there was an option to have the posts open in Lightbox. It wasn’t working, so I asked for help, and when you could not help, I asked for a refund. This is what you said:

    Hi Travis,

Our refund policy states that we are bound to give refunds after 14 days of purchase, if the plugin does not work.
More on this here, under Refunds.

Like I said in the previous email, the behavior of links (and anything else relating to how things are displayed on the front-end of the site) falls outside the scope of the plugin, which is to import RSS feeds and convert them into posts.
In fact, since my last email, we have decided to remove this option.

If you look around though, I’m sure you can find plugins that can make the links in posts open in a light box.

Your users should note that, even though I issued my complaint about this feature not working well within the 14 day period, no refund was given. Instead, you tell me that you will remove the advertised feature? Really? That’s your idea of customer support?

We sell you on a feature, it doesn’t work, and so we remove it, and thanks for the 150 bucks, sucka!

    Nice.

Should I go on, Jean? I have some more, I’d love to share them with everyone.

    Thanks for clarifying Travis.

To clarify, the email you pasted above was sent by one of our support staff not myself. I take full responsibility for the actions of my staff of course, and as others can attest to, they give great support. In this case however, I agree that you were entitled to a refund. You seem to have bought the plugin specifically for the feature of having posts open in a lightbox, and the plugin didn’t deliver on that. Hence, you are entitled to a refund, please contact me via email so I’ll get that sorted for you.

I’d also like to reiterate that we appreciate our customers and their feedback, indeed many of the features the add-ons have were built directly in response to customer requests.

With regards to the feature in question here (open links in lightbox), it is my opinion that it’s not something that WP RSS Aggregator should deal with, there are many other plugins that can do so and we opted to avoid feature bloat by letting the user choose any plugin he wishes to use for this feature. We want to focus on the core feature of WP RSS Aggregator; importing content from other websites via RSS as easily as possible.

Hope that clarifies the reasoning behind our decision to remove that feature, and apologies for the miscommunication within our support system. I’ll have your refund processed as soon as you get in touch.

I’m sorry but these forums do not support commercial products. Only the free plugins downloaded from https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/. Please contact the plugin’s vendor directly with any questions about commercial products.
